SCHOOL MESSENGER NOTIFICATIONS
Sidney City Schools uses SchoolMessenger as a method of communicating with parents/guardians, students, and staff. SchoolMessenger integrates with our student database system, PowerSchool, and provides a host of options for communicating. In addition to phone calls, SchoolMessenger allows parents to choose to receive information via email and SMS/text messaging.
Managing Contact Information Using the SchoolMessenger App

To set up your school messenger account, use the parent/guardian email address associated with your child's contact information located within Final Forms.
Message Types
Non-School Hours Emergency - for non-school hour emergency notifications. Ex. Weather delays or cancellations
School Hours Emergency - for school hour emergency notifications Ex. school lockdown, fire, flood, etc.
Attendance - for notifications related to your child's unexcused absence
General - for general notifications pertaining to school information. Ex. Parent/teacher conference reminders, school events, etc.
**The district is not responsible for you not receiving information if you do not check any boxes for contact via phone numbers and emails.**

You may also opt to receive messages via email and/or SMS (text messaging) in addition to at least one phone number (up to three). If you would like to add any additional information log into the SchoolMessenger App or website to make the change yourself through Final Forms OR contact Communications Coordinator, Tiffany Rank at tiffany.rank@sidneycityschools.org.
Please contact your child's school if any contact information should change AND update your child's Final Forms.
